Our Vision and Purpose

OUR MISSION (Purpose)
Maranatha Community Church exists to reach people for Christ, raise them to become devoted followers of Christ, and release them to live their God-given purpose. We strive to love God passionately and love others selflessly by experiencing a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ in a growing and serving church family.
“Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?” Jesus said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
Matthew 22:36-40
OUR VISION (Focus)
Our vision is to lead people to a vital and personal faith in Jesus Christ and help them grow in maturity so they might become involved in meaningful ministry in order to glorify God, multiply disciples, and build up both our local community of believers and those outside.
OUR CORE VALUES (Non-Negotiables)
We desire:
  • Every person becoming a believer
  • Every believer becoming a disciple
  • Every disciple becoming a minister
As we journey together united in Christ, we value:
• Being intentionally evangelistic, sharing the love of God as it is presented through the gospel of Christ
• The Holy Scripture as the inerrant, inspired Word of God for instruction in living and direction into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord
• Faithfully preaching and teaching the Bible’s eternal, life-transformation truths through our worship services and small groups
• The unconditional love of God which was manifested in the redemptive work accomplished on the cross by His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit’s drawing men to God Himself
• The certainty of the eventual return of Jesus Christ as a guarantee that God will complete the good work in us that He has begun
• Our unity as the body of Christ, enjoying one another’s diversity and uniqueness, joining in fellowship with one another in worship and prayer, reaching out and meeting members’ needs with compassion and love for all ages
• That biblical community is deepened through spending time with God’s people socially in ministry, both in times of personal distress and personal success
• Worship services that are biblically correct and culturally relevant, and bring the worshiper into a life-changing, dynamic experience with the living God
• Developing leaders who are kingdom-minded and passionate about winning the world to Christ
